Harmonization of Procedures in Animal Handling and Welfare

In this workshop the main purpose is to improve the communication between veterinarians, animal house personnel, and researchers in different locations, gather the knowledge available and exchange ideas, and to be involved in setting up standards as part of the Infrafrontier process. In conjunction with WP2, procedures for safe and efficient exchange of mouse lines will be established. The established top-level knowledge in animal welfare issues in Nordic countries will be gathered and procedures harmonized.

WP4 meetings have been held June 16th, 2008 in Oulu and October 9-10th, 2008 in Turku.
